Happy Thanksgiving

Yes, I have finally returned. I woke up kind of early this morning and thought I would get on and write a little.

We had a great holiday. My parents have been here since Wednesday which has been dreamy. It is always nice to have your mom here, she just makes everything better. She makes me think that I can get through this trial that I am facing right now. What would I do without her? She is wonderful. My dad is great as well. He has an uncanny ability to entertain all three of my kids my simply talking to them and making them laugh, it is fun to watch. He is so cute with them, they absolutly adore him. They both walk on water in their world. It is so nice to have them here. You get so used to not having family here that when they are here you cherish that time.

My parents always stay at a hotel when they come, so the kids have been "sleeping over" at the Hampton Inn in Parker. Joseph slept over on Wednesday night. He had a great time, though I heard that there was some snoring from Grandpa's camp. That is what my parents consider camping, is staying at some really nice hotels and sleeping in nice cozy beds. Forget this sleeping in tents on the ground, that is not for them or me.

The next morning, the kids and the big boys went swimming at the hotel pool while my mom and I went home to make the dinner. Well, I sat mostly and then mom worked hard to make the meal. They came back from the hotel and then we hung out until the food was ready. We had a great meal and great company. It was fun. The kids loved eating the homemade pies. Pumpkin for my two "J's" and strawberry cream for my Rachel. The big boys seemed to have both types and then watched some football. Mom and I talked and then cleaned up the dishes, it was great. We have lots of leftovers, so that is great as well.

Yesturday was also a big day because we celebrated the girls birthdays. We first tried to go bowling, but the alley was not opened to the public because of the leauges, who knew they bowl the day after Thanksgiving? We came back and mom made some great homemade turkey noodle soup for us, yum! Then we left for the big festivities. We picked up the cake at Sam's and then headed down to Chuck E Cheese. We opened up presents and then sang happy birthday and blew out some candles. Joseph wants me to say that they had some new games there one that has a jackpot that if you hit it you can get 250 tickets, but he only got 5 at a time. But, he seemed to enjoy it. The girls had a great time playing the games and loved thier presents. We then went to Red Robin for dinner. The girls had decieded what they were getting weeks before the big event. They ordered what they wanted and Juliana informed the waiter that she wanted her ice cream sundae as well. I told him lets wait until the end of the meal. They staff came over and sang to the girls, it was loud and the girls did not quite know what to think, afterwords they both told me they liked it. They both took one bite of the ice cream and said they were full. Good thing the big boys had some room left. After the dinner, we went back to the hotel and played some kid games in the lobby until bed time for the kids. Well, mom and I mostly played the games and the boys watched some more football. But everyone had a great time. The girls are still at the hotel for the "sleepover". I have not heard from them, so I am assuming everyone is still in one piece. Could my parents be here all the time? This is dreamy. It is wierd to wake up and not have them here, but they are having the time of thier lives I am sure. They are probably having breakfast right now, I heard something about Fruit Loops and a banana.

That has been our weekend so far, its been great. Happy early birthday to my big girls. They are doing great! I love them so much, along with my Joseph of course. I will put some new pictures soon. My parents leave tonight to fly back and then we all miss them. But, this morning we will put up the tree and that will be fun.

I have returned to the land of the bloggers. It seems that I cannot go a week without some sort of drama with health and pregnancy. But more about that later. Needless to say it has been busy. I posted the pictures of the kids about Halloween but have not written about it. So, the morning began with us walking up to the school to avoid all the crowds for the parade. We sent Joseph into the school and then waited outside for the parade to begin. The weather was perfect, so nice and warm. I just had a sweat shirt on over my jammies. I was not going to have time to get three kids ready for a parade plus get myself ready. Oh well, I was looking beautiful. I think that the sweat shirt was getting a little tight, I am not sure why! As it is I am "borrowing" Mike's pj pants and shirt just temporarily of course. Oh well, back to the parade. It turned out great. The whole school dresses up and walks around the building twice I guess to max out picture time. Joseph looked great and his teacher was dressed up like a book. He reads to the class every day and right now they are reading alot of the Little books if you remember them from back in the day. I read them and watched the cartoons that went with them. So, he made himself into a Little book and the kids loved it. He has a great teacher, we really like him. This is his 23rd year teaching 3rd grade at Timberline, Joseph seems really happy with him.

I will be back, got to go pick up Joseph from cubs.
