Here are some pictures from this weekend. Our hometeacher who is a big golfer gave Mike some tokens to the local golf course to go and hit a bucket of balls, so he took the kids over and they hit some balls. Our hometeacher has also loaned us some of his old clubs as he and Mike are going golfing this Saturday, so we have some clubs now.
The girls and Mike also enjoyed a very fun Daddy and Daughter Olympics this past Saturday. Every year they hold this event for the dads and daughters and do really fun relays and other fun competitions. The girls proudly won two medals each taking second place in two events. I am not sure who is more proud, Dad or the girls.
My other piece of news is that after nearly a full year, I have finally been asked to compete for my riding. I was invited this past Thursday when I was at the barn. The event will be in October, I need more information before I decide if I want or can do it. But, it is flattering just to be asked. I am back riding Tego again to help with my leg strength when asking for a canter depart, oh that dang canter depart, it is one of the most difficult things to master, but I am working on it. It is nice to have a goal to work towards now. My goal would be to go to the competition and not embarrass myself or Snowfield Farms, and oh by the way, not fall off. We will see what happens.
